BIKE SERVICE & REPAIRS
At Bike Force Docklands Melbourne, we offer a comprehensive range of Services and Repairs to keep your bike running at optimum performance. Our workshop services all types of bikes: commuter bike, hybrid bike, road bike, mountain bike and even kids bikes. Located in the free tram zone in the Melbourne CBD, dropping off and picking up your bike is easy .
Like all machinery and vehicles, your bicycle should be regularly serviced and maintained to keep it running safely and efficiently. We recommend you service your bike every 3000 km to 4000 km or every 4 to 6 months. Sooner if you ride more often. We specialize in all groupsets (SRAM, Shimano and Campagnolo) and keep an extensive range of spare parts. Find out about our pro-mechanics and how they can bring value to you and your bike!
Whether you are a local resident who commute into Melbourne CBD, is a avid road cyclist or race in competitions, our mechanics are highly qualified and will get your bike into top shape.
Our Commuter Safety Service and General Service is designed specifically with the everyday cyclist in mind. If you want to give your bike a full care package, then the Ultimate Service is the one for you!

Commuter Safety Service
For flat bar urban bikes only. Should be done once every 6-8 months and is great value for only $120 + Parts.
It includes the following:
- Inspect frame
- Check brakes (mechanical) and gears - adjust as required
- Lubricate chain
- Check and tighten nuts and bolts for correct torque
- Check headset for free movement and adjust if required
- Inspect tyres and inflate to the correct pressure
* Excludes cost of parts and fitting of accessories and parts
General Service
Perfect for all Road bikes. Should be done once every 8-10 months. At $185 + Parts, it is a cost effective way to keep your bike on the road.
It includes the following:
- Inspect frame
- Wipe down bike
- Degrease and re-lubricate drive train while still installed on the bike
- Check brakes (mechanical) and gears - adjust as required (addition charge for hydraulic brake bleed if required)
- Check and tighten nuts and bolts to correct torque
- Check headset for free movement and adjust if required
- Inspect tyres and inflate to the correct pressure
- Minor wheel true
- This service also covers the fitting cost of new components purchased in store (tubes, tyres, brake pads, chain, cassette etc)
- Additional $25 charge will apply to ebikes
- Additional $20 charge will apply to fitting of new components supplied by the customer (tubes, tyres, brake pads, chain, cassette etc)
* Excludes fitting of cable sets and cost of parts
Ultimate Service
When your bike is your pride and joy, give it the ultimate care package. Should be done every 18-24 months and priced at $385 + Parts, it is a great investment to keep your bike running like new.
It includes the following:
- Full strip down and rebuild
- Thorough clean of frame and fork and checked for alignment
- All threads checked and cleaned
- Thoroughly clean then inspect and relubricate the drivetrain
- Check, clean & adjust gears and braking system
- Check and tighten nuts and bolts to correct torque
- Inspect tyres and inflate to the correct pressure
- Check bottom bracket for wear and lateral free movement then re-assembled with fresh grease
- Check headset for wear and free movement then re-assemble with fresh grease
- Hubs dissembled, cleaned and checked for wear and re-assembled with fresh grease
- True and re-tension plus re-dishing of both wheels as required
- Update Firmware on electric components
- This service also covers the fitting cost of new components (tubes, tyres, brake pads, chain, cassette, cables etc)

- if there are any issues you would like us to look at
- if you expect any parts to be changed
- when you would like to pick up the bike (same day, next day, few days)
Generally, we would be able to do the service the same day, if there are no parts we need to order in for your job. Our mechanics will be in contact with you, should they find anything unexpected when they open your bike up!
Drop your bike in the morning before 10am, and generally we will have it ready by the end of the day.
